30-day GRATITUDE JOURNALING CHALLENGE

“Gratefulness, like mindfulness or yoga, is an awareness practice and a way of training, deepening, and directing our attention. Like other forms of practice, gratefulness makes us more resilient and flexible, and also offers a way to frame and learn from everything that unfolds in our lives.” gratefulness.org

WHAT IS THE CHALLENGE?

Every day, spend some time in contemplating on the different things that you are grateful for on that day. Then create a Gratitude-Journal Entry. It can be a list of different things that you are grateful for, or – and I would like to encourage you to do that! – you can create a piece of ARTWORK that depicts your day expressing what you feel grateful for on that day. Put your list and/or drawing in your booklet (pls see my video on what you will need).  Then take a photo of your ‘creation’ and share it on our PADLET.

“… find a Gratitude Journal, and open your mind up to just how helpful this simple practice may be on the path toward embracing your thankfulness. A Gratitude Journal is the practice of jotting down, each day, things that we are grateful for and allow us to become more present and aware.” Psychiatric Medical Care (source)

Why create a Gratitude Journal?

Gratitude is more than just the feeling of thankfulness. Being thankful is the first step, and we have to have that initial feeling to build upon. We build upon it by redirecting our focus into making gratefulness an intrinsic part of our lives 365 days a year. Gratitude requires us to stay alert of the role of others in our lives.

The key is keeping gratitude at the forefront of our lives. It’s not just thinking about how thankful we are to have all that we have. It’s about living out that gratitude through the simple things we do every day. Gratitude is the manifestation of love, devotion and commitment … It encompasses shared experiences,…, and help us understand how connected we are to others.

… find a Gratitude Journal, and open your mind up to just how helpful this simple practice may be on the path toward embracing your thankfulness. A Gratitude Journal is the practice of jotting down, each day, things that we are grateful for and allow us to become more present and aware.

Gratitude is the key to the door of an abundant life!

Gratitude allows me to embrace my life as it is because it helps me see my daily blessings.
