Contemplation – Day 37

God is a meticulous dock maker. So precise is His order that everything on earth happens in its own time — neither a minute late nor a minute early. And for everyone without exception, the clock works accurately. For each, there is a time to love and a time to die.

Embracing divine life, I willingly go with the flow.

Oh well … one of those rules that sounds so lovely but so hard to execute. Of course, I want to go with the flow! Of course, I want to submit myself to God’s perfect timing and embrace Divine Order! Of course, I understand from my own journey and ups-and-downs that there is perfection in the making!

STILL, in the human shell, not-knowing God’s timing is nerve-racking. We all want to feel safe, secure and assured; we all want to avoid being faced with the unknown because of our insecurities and lack of confidence; (secretly) we would all want to know how much time we have left; basically we want to know God’s timing beforehand so we can be prepared!

But God does not reveal Its secrets! And we are left with uncertainties and asked to trust that God’s timing is perfect!

We see God or the Divine Presence through our own being, our own Mind.

RULE No1

“How we see God is a direct reflection of how we see ourselves; we don’t see things as they are, we see them as we are. If God brings to mind mostly fear and blame, it means there is too much fear and blames welled inside us. If we see God as full of Love and compassion, so are we.”*

Listen to the rule:

My mother does not see God. She does not see herself either. All she says: I don’t know. Do you? What to answer? I wish I could show her God’s wonderful garden of colourful existence. But she cannot see much of it. Her mind tells her that the world is a horrible place, she is threatened and there is no one to help her. God is a distant, unlikely figure, an old guy who does not care about her.

I pray every day that she could have a glimpse of the breathtaking palette of wonders surrounding her every day. I also pray for me to be able to accept that what my mum perceives is also God’s world, only a limited version of it. And that’s OK, too.

Today, we are releasing Struggle and embracing God’s Love for us.

Our Lent Booklet reminds us today that the wisest choice is to willingly go with the flow because life flows. When we dig in our heels and claim the rightness of our own agenda, we struggle. We are reminded that fighting what we don’t want only gives it more energy.  There is no need to control, as we release our grip, we start flowing with the Divine.

Today, I invite you to contemplate on Rule No37 and the quote below. Let me know how practicing releasing struggle worked for you today.

A fool gives full vent to anger, but the wise quietly holds it back. Proverbs 29:11

Today we affirm: Embracing divine life, I willingly go with the flow.

Contemplation – Day 36

This World is erected upon the principle of reciprocity. Neither a drop of kindness nor a speck of evil will remain unreciprocated. For not the plots, deceptions, or tricks of other people. If somebody is setting a trap, remember, so is God. He is the biggest plotter. Not even a leaf stirs outside God’s Knowledge. Simply and wholeheartedly believe in that. Whatever God does, He does it beautifully.

I am stress-free in the Silence.

When I was a child, I felt unfairly treated. Now, I understand that God had a plan. I may not ever know exactly why certain things happened in my life as they did but what I know for sure is that I would not be the person I am today if it had not been to those experiences. The more I know myself, the more I see God’s plan. I can only know myself in the silence.

… when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you. Matthew 6:6

Contemplation – Day 35

In this World, it is not similarities or regularities that take us a step forward, but blunt opposites. And all the opposites in the universe are present within each and every one of us. Therefore the believer needs to meet the unbeliever residing within. And the nonbeliever should get to know the silent faithful in him. Until the day one reaches the stage of Insane-I Kamil, the perfect human being, faith is a gradual process and one that necessitates its seeming opposite: disbelief.

I live vibrantly from my joyful spirit.

Oh, how true!  I have been searching for my ‘faith’ for decades. At the beginning of my journey I strongly believed that I needed to connect with likeminded people who will love me and embrace me for who I am. But I kept on finding myself with people who looked at me as weirdo. I wondered why God hated me so much to suffer a company that did not understand or appreciated me.

Some time along the dusty road of self-discovery, I met the ‘disbeliever’ inside of me who neither liked me or appreciated me. I realized that I was surrounded with such people because God wanted me to meet the ‘disliker’ within.

We see God and our world through ourselves. We are our own filter in a way. As is outside so is within. It is a work in progress. I can see the light of the ‘believer’ now!

Today, we are releasing Sorrow and embracing God’s Love for us.

Our Lent Booklet reminds us today that sorrow is not something to fight but to embrace. It reminds us losses and carries a message from Jesus about solace that resides within us as we connect with the Divine Presence. When we live from our divinity we recognize joy even in the midst of sorrow. As we release sorrow we bask in the glory of living with joy.

Today, I invite you to contemplate on Rule No35 and the quote below. Let me know how practicing releasing sorrow worked for you today.

For everything there is a season, and a time for every
matter under heaven. Ecclesiastes 3:1

Today we affirm: I live vibrantly from my joyful spirit.

Palm Sunday and Holy Week

On Palm Sunday, mainstream Christian churches celebrate Jesus’ entering Jerusalem, and people throwing palm leaves under his feet.

As we are moving into Holy Week of Easter, the week concluding the Lenten season, I started to contemplate of the meaning of different symbology such as the leaves being thrown on the road in front of Jesus, the meaning of passion, crucifixion and resurrection.

Today I celebrated Palm Sunday with a little ritual of releasing. I imagined leaves being limiting beliefs, pains and aches, misconceptions of who I am and such. I wrote a long letter. In this letter, I threw unhelpful ideas like leaves onto the road to Jerusalem, all that I felt stood between me and God. With my words on the paper, I released them all covering the dusty road.

I imagined Jerusalem to be Heaven, the place inside of me that is blocked by these leaves of limitations. I imagined Jesus, being the saviour and all :), stepping on and crashing these obstructions with his compassion and Love, and opening the way for me to enter Jerusalem/Heaven. I imagined his Love surrounding me and encouraging me to let go and move into my power.

Contemplation – Day 34

Submission does not mean being weak or passive. It leads to neither fatalism nor capitulation — just the opposite. Real power resides in submission, a power that comes within. Those who submit to the divine essence of life will live in unperturbed tranquility and peace even the whole full World goes through turbulence after turbulence.

When I trip over my humanity, I discover a higher way of being.

It took me a long time to understand this rule. I still have challenges with divine order that is submission to the Divine Essence of Life or God’s Will – as we often call it. I grew up during a military kind of regime and submission meant giving up on yourself and becoming submissive to the a totalitarian leader.

Giving into Love is finding Peace and Solace within. Until I experienced it, I could not believe it. And I still don’t sometimes. Sitting in the Silence and allowing God to take over, to lift my burdens, the heaviness of living in this crazy world, and my fears give me a sense of peace and tranquility.

Today, we are releasing Shame and embracing God’s Love for us.

Our Lent Booklet reminds us today that we all make mistakes or display wrong or foolish behaviour. In shame we keep the pain alive by berating ourselves for not measuring up to a certain standard. In order to move forward we must forgive ourselves  and see the mistakes for what it is: learning. By loving thoughts and behaviour, that stem from my goodness, I support myself to move onto better decisions.

Today, I invite you to contemplate on Rule No34 and the quote below. Let me know how practicing releasing shame worked for you today.

Let anyone among you who is without sin be the first to throw a stone at her. John 8:7

Today we affirm: When I trip over my humanity, I discover a higher way of being.
