Contemplation – Day15

It’s easy to love a perfect God, unblemished and infallible that He is. What is far more difficult is to love fellow human beings with all their imperfections and defects. Remember, one can only know what one is capable of loving. There is no wisdom without love. Unless we learn to love God’s creation, we can neither truly love nor truly know God.

I let nothing and no one upset the calm peace of my soul.

I just love today’s Rule. It reminds me to keep on embracing God’s world regardless of its imperfections. It is so easy for me to find faults and criticize because I am attuned with ; let’s do it differently’ attitude, but I know well that  when I do that I disconnect myself from the wisdom of Love.

Todays, I visited a place where people did not seem to be very kind or nice. It is just the way they are, I suppose. I did not let it upset me, neither did I criticizing them for it.  They probably like the way they are 🙂 Instead, I bought myself a nice pair of shoes and enjoyed my friend’s company by a cup of jasmine tea. <3

Today, we are releasing Drama and embracing God’s Love for us.

Our Lent Booklet reminds us today that drama  is often accompanied with emotional anxiety, envy, depression, confusion and anger. However, by maintaining our spiritual stability we can handle any drama. It is also beneficial to apply affirmations and denials as we choose to enter different situations in our lives.

Similar to our Rule today, we are reminded again that as we centre ourselves in Love we are able to bring forward Loving into any situation. It is surely easy to engage when the event at hand is joyful and people are nice and accommodating. There is no life without drama, however. It is just part of life. The test of the pudding is to stay loving and kind when drama sets in without becoming numb. Drama is not to avoid but to learn from.

Today, I invite you to contemplate on Rule No15 and the quote below. Let me know how practicing releasing drama worked for you today.

Let no evil talk come out of your mouths, but only what is useful
for building up, as there is need, so that your words may give grace to those who hear. Ephesians 4:29

Today we affirm:  I let nothing and no one upset the calm peace of my soul.

Contemplation – Day14

God is busy with the completion of your work, both outwardly and inwardly. He is fully occupied with you. Every human being is a work in progress that is slowly but inexorably moving toward realization. We are each an unfinished work of art both waiting and striving to be completed. God deals with each of us separately because humanity is a fine art of skilled penmanship where every single dot is equally important for the entire picture.

Faithfully, I wait for truth.

Well, not a particularly inspiring day today. Headachy and low in energy, even dizzy … not sure what the reason is behind my symptoms but I could definitely practice today’s affirmation.

I am a work in progress hoping that even on days like this I am moving inexorably towards my realization which is my oneness with the Divine by releasing and embracing … what is.

As I am getting older, I am more in touch with my body’s ups and downs and it has greater influence on my felling of wellness or the lack of it. One of my biggest challenge personally is to work with it, work with the not being able to do as much as I would like or was once able to. I am learning to become patience and move with what presents me with: in this case laying in bed and waiting for the headache to ease away.

Yes, I am waiting patiently to be ready for the next step …

Today, we are releasing Doubt and embracing God’s Love for us.

Our Lent Booklet reminds us today that doubt can be an unsettling visitor. However, we can look at our questions as seeking greater knowledge and truth rather then unfaithfulness.

What are your questions about your beliefs and convictions? What are your doubts? Sit in the Silence and wait. Let the truth come to you. AS we exercise faith, we trust that clarity will come.

Today, I invite you to contemplate on Rule No14 and the quote below. Let me know how practicing releasing doubt worked for you today.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not rely on your own insight. Proverbs 3:5

Today we affirm: Faithfully, I wait for truth.

Contemplation – Day13

Try not to resist the changes, which come your way. Instead let life live through you. And do not worry that your life is turning upside down. How do you know that the side you are used to is better than the one to come?.

When I make mistakes, I’m making progress.

I have an ambivalent relationship with change. For a long time I wanted my days to be different  from what they were, so I pursued change and begged it to be my companion.  At the same time, I fear change. It keeps me unsettled and ungrounded.

You cannot step into the same water twice. Change is inevitable. But I am also realizing that ‘what is’ is just as important as the ‘different’ that is about to come. Staying open and allowing life to live through me is the key. When I notice that I try to control life, I tell myself to ‘step back and breathe’. When I am too hasty to brush an experience out of my way because it makes me feel uncomfortable or fearful, I tell myself ‘to stay with it and breathe through it’.

Today, we are releasing Discouragement and embracing God’s Love for us.

Our Lent Booklet reminds us today that discouragement stems from a sense of perfectionism and impatience.  We often expect too much of ourselves. We need to learn that mistakes are not failures, it is part of our progress. As we let go of discouragement we embrace our mistakes that is part of our learning and growing.

In my experience, change requires many learnings and mistakes. I am, at the moment, learning a new language and a new culture. I make tons of mistakes and I often feel ridiculous in my odd ways. Sometimes discouragement tells me to stop and crawl back to safety where I look composed and all together.

Today, I invite you to contemplate on Rule No13 and the quote below. Let me know how practicing releasing discouragement worked for you today.

Do not be afraid or dismayed; be strong and courageous. Joshua 10:25

Today we affirm: When I make mistakes, I’m making progress.

Contemplation – Day12

There are more fake gurus and false teachers in this world than the number of stars in the visible universe. Don’t confuse power-driven, self-centered people with true mentors. A genuine spiritual master will not direct your attention to himself or herself and will not expect absolute obedience or utter admiration from you, but instead will help you to appreciate and admire your inner self. True mentors are as transparent as glass. They let the light of God pass through them.

Through spiritual understanding, I follow the divine wisdom available in every moment of my life.

How appropriate! It is ONLY personal spiritual understanding that we can truly rely on when we are in search of the truth. No one can tell us what the truth is, we must discover it for ourselves.

I know a lot of disappointed people who feel that they were lied to. I grew up during the socialistic regime in Hungary. We lived in at a time when – similar to how it was displayed in George Orwell’s 1985 – facts were altered to fit the political climate. Everybody lied. Some lied to stay alive, some lied for personal gains. I knew one thing for sure: I could not trust anyone with the truth. However, many people tried to navigate in the sea of lies but found themselves disappointed at the end.

I got lucky. Because of the way I grew up, I never looked for the truth outside of myself. It is a rather challenging way of living when you make all your decisions by trial-and-error, but I knew that I can only trust my own experiences.

It is the same with me and the Divine. I do not trust what I am told about God or the Divine, or what is written in holy books. I know God the way I feel IT. My understanding of God (the Divine) solely stems from my inner personal experiences as part of the energy that we call God or the Divine.

As long as we listen to someone else’s understanding of Spirit, God, the World … anything, we will find ourselves disappointed and misled. In my observation, we all experience our existence and everything in it through our own senses, our own individual perception.

I also noticed that true guides only show up after I have carved the beginning of my own understanding of matters. They support me to keep myself aligned with what I already know.

Today, we are releasing Discontent and embracing God’s Love for us.

Our Lent Booklet reminds us today that discontent can have many faces. Every experiences we have however is there to carry a message for us. What if, just on the
other side of discontent, a more profound love lies, waiting to pour
through us and into the world?  Discontent can serve as a catalyst for growth. If we are willing to learn the wisdom it contains.

Today, I invite you to contemplate on Rule No12 and the quote below. Let me know how practicing releasing discontent worked for you today.

I have learned to be content with whatever I have. I know
what it is to have little, and I know what it is to have plenty.
Philippians 4:11-12

Today we affirm: Through spiritual understanding, I follow the divine wisdom
available in every moment of my life.

Contemplation – Day11

The midwife knows that when there is no pain, the way for the baby cannot be opened and the mother cannot give birth. Likewise, for a new self to be born, hardship is necessary. Just as clay needs to go through intense heat to become strong, Love can only be perfected in pain.”

Darkness has no hold on me. I let go of darkness and allow illumination.

Once again, so appropriate. The weather was gloomy today, so was my mood. Every time I closed my eyes and start ed moving closer to Love, I heard ‘let it all go’. But I don’t want to. It is painful. As parts of me is drifting out of my consciousness, I am feeling a sense of loss.

So, I keep on holding onto ideas of myself that though sounds nice, they are not actually true. I am not as independent as I pretend to be. I often feel lost and I wish I could ask for more help. I am not as adventurous as I seem to be. I’d prefer to be at home, sitting with a hot cup of coffee reading on the sofa. I prefer laying in bed under the deveau or by the pool rather than going about changing the world. The person I built myself to be was a ‘means to an end’, my personal response to the environment I grew up in. But I do not need the mascara any more. I can just be me now: A lazy bum with a book fetish! 🙂 hahaha! It does not really matter, anyway. What matter is that I hold nothing between me and Love any more. I let Love mould me now.

Today, we are releasing Darkness and embracing God’s Love for us.

Our Lent Booklet reminds us today that when we find ourselves in darkness and feeling trapped or overwhelmed we can choose to step back, centre ourselves instead of being succumb to panic and despair. As we turn within we turn to the power that possesses our spiritual energy and divine luminescence.

As we remember our true power, we let go of trying to control the darkness. In that we understand that it is only a veil of fear and doubt. It dissipates in our trust in our inner light-energy.

Today, I invite you to contemplate on Rule No11 and the quote below. Let me know how practicing releasing darkness worked for you today.

The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not overcome it. John 1:5

Today we affirm: Darkness has no hold on me. I let go of darkness
