40 Days of Lent – From Release to Embrace
“Submission does not mean being weak or passive. It leads to neither fatalism nor capitulation — just the opposite. Real power resides in submission, a power that comes within. Those who submit to the divine essence of life will live in unperturbed tranquility and peace even the whole full World goes through turbulence after turbulence.“*

Today, we are releasing Shame and embracing God’s Love for us.
Our Lent Booklet reminds us today that we all make mistakes or display wrong or foolish behaviour. In shame we keep the pain alive by berating ourselves for not measuring up to a certain standard. In order to move forward we must forgive ourselves and see the mistakes for what it is: learning. By loving thoughts and behaviour, that stem from my goodness, I support myself to move onto better decisions.
Today, I invite you to contemplate on Rule No34 and the quote below. Let me know how practicing releasing shame worked for you today.
Let anyone among you who is without sin be the first to throw a stone at her. John 8:7
Today we affirm: When I trip over my humanity, I discover a higher way of being.
